I am Orange Bright Monarch Flight.
I love Green Pink Purple Light.
Together we shimmer in our Universe tonight.
We soar above River of Purple Breeze.
Purple Light, Purple Breeze,
and me, Monarch Flight,
we all glimmer and flicker,
enchanting at night.
A dream-loving creature,
simple, cosmic, and true,
I dream my own,
very personal,
Universal view.
I see my Monarch folks flying,
with wings, bright orange and black.
Dad looks a little bit different from Mom,
by two black spots on the veins of his back.
Mom lays her eggs
in Green Milkweed Hand.
My little egg bursts
in Powder Blue Land.
With plenty of leaves
to chew and to hug,
I grow fatter each second.
I see Squirming Big Bug!
“You’re a fat, lovely caterpillar!”
Milkweed hums in Blue Breeze.
“Big Bug, your legs tickle
my giant Green leaves.”
I chomp and I chew.
I wiggle. I bend.
I am Big Bug planning
something new to tend.
“Tickle, tickle, tickle, Green,”
sing Bug’s Eight Pair of Legs.
“Thank you, Green, for feeding my skin,
and my Pointy Big Bug Pegs.
I stick my black, Big Bug tail,
to new skin Green Milkweed made.
I weave a smooth, hard outer shell.
Now I am Pretty Tough Brilliant Jade.
Underneath my Tough Jade crown,
ringed all around with gold,
now I am falling fast asleep,
secure in my chrysalis hold.
Mostly nestled liquid,
I am safe and warm and sound.
I dream of forming butterfly wings
and a brand new—free!—compound.
I awake in my dream,
still within chrysalis.
Then I push my way out.
I am not sure how I do this!
I hang on Milkweed leaf,
as liquid fills my wings up.
I am held up by Green Milkweed Hand,
until my wings inflate for takeoff.
From above,
Friend on Milkweed Bud hums:
Look, we have spots!
Still we are white and black:
Are we not?
But now I see orange wings,
with lots of white dots.
“We’re vastly changed beings,”
Bud Friend and I sing,
as I spread my new wings,
and lift off in my dreams.
I see Milkweed for Monarch,
the nectar of all needs.
I drink Purple Pink Flowers,
within Sea of Blue Breeze.
I dream of migration,
moving straight up in the sky.
I see my own shape,
in Butterfly Cloud Floating By.
In Patagonia I visit a fantastic feature.
It’s a Monarch volcano.
I see Red Canyons Creature!
I see Blue Green Mother Earth,
waving to us,
with Her Funny Butterfly Face.
I see Great Silver Wings,
protecting us,
from Deep Brown Outer Space
Blue Butterfly Star Shine
glitters his apparition.
I thank Hubble Space Mission
for Superior Shine Vision.
I hear Shine, as he shimmers,
and blinks out his message:
Plant Milkweed for Monarchs!
Please ask your friends fast.
Without Milkweed for Monarchs,
we might not always last.
I see Blue Butterfly Galaxy:
two colliding star systems.
As one galaxy absorbs the other,
the more brightly Big Wing glistens!
Many rocks have impacted
Rusty Red Planet Mars.
Giant craters, shown by NASA,
announce:
Cute Little Violet Butterfly Scars!
Bursting Butterfly Nebula
ejects star outer layers.
Great shrinking white core
expels hot colored vapors.
Soft Butterfly bursts,
within Glowing Universe.
She is Nebula Cherub,
as her gases disperse.
In tonight’s lovely dreams,
to warm and sweet places,
I see reflections of myself
in Universal sweet changes.
I love my true friend:
Male Monarch and me.
I lay my own eggs and
New Bug grows free.
New Bug forms chrysalis
and sleeps for a time.
She wakes up New Monarch.
Her wings look divine!
In tonight’s dreamy land,
my view is crystal clear:
A Monarch Universe is within me,
and I am within Her.
I don’t really see,
what exactly happened first.
But it’s for sure and for certain:
I see things change;
I see things burst.
I see Red Tail Comet Speeding.
I see Sky of Blue Space Seeding.
I see Two Wide Wise Eyes Whirling.
I see Pretty Pink Wings Twirling.
I see Spiral Star Cloud Lefty hugging
Two Clusters, In and Out.
I see Spinner White Halo orbiting,
above Lefty and Comets, Two Zinging About.
Other Dear Ones circle around.
Galactic Wonders ever abound.
I see a Monarch Universe within Orange Bright Monarch Flight.
I see River of Purple Breeze within Green Pink Purple Light.
I sleep within Green Milkweed Hand tonight.
I see Gold Moon Mother,
and New Monarch,
in Sea of Stars,
twinkling bright!
In my heart I see children
in blue balloon dresses.
Katie sings Timmy
A Monarch Universe last verses.
Holding big Monarch book,
with arms around her brother,
Katie sings sweetly to Timmy,
and she smiles up at Gold Moon Mother:
And as you fall asleep tonight,
under Moon, Stars, and Monarch,
shining and bright:
Do you see something that looks like you,
from your own,
very personal,
Universal view?
