Learn human anatomy in a comprehensive program
including all body systems.

Medical Records Coding
18-lesson certificate program (144 hours)
Taught by a
multi-credentialed Certified Coding Specialist
(CCS, CCS-P, and CMT).
In-depth health information
program in ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding. Learn
inpatient and outpatient coding principles. This program will help
prepare you for the CCS (Certified Coding Specialist - Hospital) credentialing
examination offered by
the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Medical terminology or
equivalent knowledge required.
In-depth health information
program in ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding. Learn
inpatient and outpatient coding principles. This program will help
prepare you for the CCA (Certified Coding Assistant), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist - Hospital),

Medical Transcription
18-lesson certificate program (144 hours)
Taught by a Certified Medical Transcriptionist
Learn medical transcription in an 18-lesson program. Learn from authentic
physician dictation. Computer and standard cassette transcriber required (see
book list
for more
information).
Medical Terminology or equivalent knowledge required.
This program will help prepare
students for the Certified Medical Transcriptionist credential offered by the
Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI), formerly the American
Association for Medical Transcriptionists (AAMT).

Health Information Coding Online Certificate
Program
Computer and Internet access with email required - Up to 504 hours of study
Taught by Certified Coding Specialist, Hospital and Physician
Program Goal:
Students will learn the clinical foundations and data management skills needed
to perform coding and billing functions in health information settings.
Students will learn medical knowledge in terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and
disease processes. Students will also learn coding guidelines and billing
procedures. Students will prepare for AHIMA’s Certified Coding examinations,
including the CCA, CCS-P, and CCS. An internship in a health care information
setting is required for successful completion.
Students will
complete up to 504 hours in the following subjects: Medical terminology, human
anatomy and physiology, essentials of disease processes, pharmacology,
outpatient coding, physician coding and reimbursement, and inpatient coding.
Choose 7 courses to complete Central Business School’s Health Information Coding
Online Certificate Program. No credit is given for previous training. Courses
may be completed in any order. Books are included (see book list and enrollment
form).
