Lake Superior and the City of Marquette from the Rocket Chair
at Marquette Mountain Thursday

Marquette, MI--Riding the chairlift to Upper Rocket and Upper Snowfield at Marquette Mountain Ski Area this early in the season is definitely a treat.

Thursday's fresh snow and well-groomed runs made for smooth riding from the very top of Marquette Mountain right down to the warm lodge and T-Bar.

Upper Rocket was under maintenance and not quite open yet, but Upper Snowfield leads right around to Rocket for a nice long run.

and T-Bar from the Rocket Chair

Plentiful snow, warm sunshine, and mild temperatures brightened everyone's ski day.  Everything ran up to speed, as usual.

Jess served up coffee in the T-Bar, Fish cooked up delicious cheeseburger and fries, Bob lifted us onto the Rocket chair for our first run of the season, and Vern waved to us from the top of Rocket before he jumped into a groomer and ran a fresh trail.

Kimber and Args graciously greeted the Wisconsin aliens at the Back Door, and Ray sang Mr. BoJangles in the T-Bar while we de-booted.

Within the Marquette Mountain Ski Area, anyway, it's holiday season, and all is well with our super MM world.

Hope to see you at the hill!  Happy New Year!
