Houghton, Michigan--Massive snow and ice creatures crafted by MTU students glowed, glistened and shined Thursday during Winter Carnival at Michigan Technological University in Houghton. "Frightful Creatures with Chilling Features" snow statue building ended Thursday morning at 8:00 am. Results were posted at 8:12 pm Thursday at WLUC TV6 online. Hundreds of fans strolled through MTU campus Thursday flashing cameras and enjoying the tremendous sculptures. Student groups create the giant snow statues to a particular theme each year during MTU Winter Carnival. |
