Marquette, MI--An oil spill in Marquette's Lower Harbor today caused the Coast Guard to close Harbor access to boats.

TJ Brown of Northern Options Energy Education & Services sent us these photos via email this morning.  According to TJ, "The oil, which smells like motor oil, is washing up the entire shoreline of the bay.  My view is from in front of Kelly Dockside."

Today's TV6 article, "Freighter leaking oil into Superior," reports: "The Lower Harbor in Marquette has been ordered to close access to boats....including the boat launch at the Cinder Pond Marina."
